The Lower East Side Film Festival wraps up their 6th annual festival tomorrow with a world premiere screening of The Babymooners, a narrative film about actor and writer Shaina Feinberg’s anxious and surreal journey into motherhood. The film’s stars (and writers, directors, editors) are real life couple Shaina Feinberg and Chris Manley.
“It’s very personal, very funny and sweet – it’s not a documentary, it’s a narrative film, but they used what was going on in their life (including Feinberg’s real life parents) to tell their story,” said festival director Tony Castle.
The film also stars comedian and radio show host Dave Hill (Inside Amy Schumer, @Midnight, This American Life), Chris Roberti (LESFF 2013 Best of Fest Winner How To Follow Strangers), Jeff Seal, Maeve Higgins, and Marshall York.
Feinberg and Manley will both be in attendance. Following the screening is the closing night party and awards ceremony, at 310 Bowery, featuring special guests and complimentary beer.
