The Holiday Inn on Delancey Street is moving ahead with plans to open a rooftop bar.
According to documents filed with Community Board 3, operators Joe Donagher and Eamon Donnelly hope to extend their existing full bar (now in place in the basement space known as ‘Retro Bar & Grill’). The application calls for 100 seats on the rooftop with an additional standup bar. The applicants hope to operate the rooftop until 4am seven nights a week.
Donagher and Donnelly also operate the restaurant in the Times Square Holiday Inn (8th Avenue). They run the Beer Authority (West 40th Street), Rattle n Hum (East 33rd Street) and Barleycorn (Tribeca). The sample menu features typical bar food items (nachosm sliders, wings, steaks, etc.)
The Holiday Inn opened at 148-150 Delancey St. in 2013.
