–An Orthodox Jewish man was slashed in the neck as he waited for the 6 train at the Bleecker/Lafayette station this morning. He was rushed to Bellevue Hospital. [Channel 7]

–The City Council might hold oversight hearings, investigating the city’s decision to lift a deed restriction at the former Rivington House nursing home. Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito said yesterday she only learned about the situation recently. “The council member (Margaret Chin) I know did engage in some conversations with the administration but not with me personally about it. The first time I heard about it was in the report that came out,” the speaker explained. [Politico New York]

–The state attorney general has opened up an investigation tied to one of the Allure Group’s Brooklyn properties. The AG was already looking into the legality of the Lower East Side deal. [Daily News]

–Another Allure Group building in Brooklyn faces a lien sale after the firm missed a deadline to pay $5 million in property taxes. Meanwhile, the de Blasio “administration refused (for a second day) to answer questions about how the city appraised the (Rivington House) property before agreeing to a $16 million payment from Allure to remove any restrictions on its use.” [New York Post]
