This Sunday, May 1st, Lower East Side History Month kicks off with their annual LES STORIES: Community Chalking event. The volunteer collaboration is focused on making the neighborhood’s stories and history visible to everyone. Participants are encouraged to choose from a variety of locations/sidewalks to share some local history through individual images, text and drawings.
Chalk and trivia (plus coffee and bagels!) will be provided at the Launch Breakfas at First Street Green (East Houston & 2nd Ave) on Sunday at 10 a.m.
