Some of the things happening on the Lower east Side today:

–The 7th Precinct is holding a blood drive today between noon and 6 p.m. No appointments necessary. 19 Pitt St. (at Delancey Street).

–At 9 p.m., Mackenzie Scott (Torres) performs at Bowery Ballroom in support of her second album. $17.

–NYC songwriter Chris Riffle plays Rockwood Music Hall tonight at 9 p.m.

–From 6-8 p.m., Salon 94 opens a new show from prominent sculptor Betty Woodman. 94 Bowery.

Junior Projects hosts an opening from 6-8 p.m. for Susan Smith’s “Splinters.” The artist “collects architectural remnants from our industrialized urban society” and reconfigures them in oil on canvas paintings. 139 Norfolk St.

–Artists Levan Mindiashvili and Kurt Steger will talk about their works in “Structures,” a show at the Manny Cantor Center focused on “architectural place-making on the Lower East Side.” 6 p.m. Here’s the Facebook invite.

The Lucky Bee, a new South Asian restaurant, opens tonight at 252 Broome St. For the moment, chef Matty Bennett is making do without gas, so this is a soft opening.
