After almost five years on the Lower East Side, Lost Weekend is closing up shop at the end of this week. The coffee, surf and lifestyle store at 45 Orchard St. quickly became a popular local hangout after opening in the summer of 2011.

Owner Michael little told us this afternoon he’s ready to focus on new projects, so he decided to close the business. It’s possible he’ll pop up with another business in the not-too-distant future. Little lives in the neighborhood and serves on the board of the Lower East Side BID.

You still have a few days to grab a last cup of coffee at Lost Weekend. The place will go dark by the last day of this month.
