Some of the things happening on the Lower East Side today:

–The traditional klezmer ensemble FleytMuzik  will be presenting a public rehearsal at the Museum at Eldridge Street tonight at 7 p.m. “They’ll lead you ‘backstage’ to witness the inner workings of their creative process.” More info here.

–The Metropolitan Playhouse will present the Iris String Quartet in a concert of major works by Mendelssohn, Haydn, and Kosch. 8 p.m., 220 East 4th St. Details on our Calendar.

–Fung Tu on Orchard Street is debuting a new winter special for the locals tonight. You get fried rice or a new ramen-like soup, plus a can of beer for $15. It will be available every Sunday, Tuesday and Wednesday. Here’s Fung Tu’s website.
