Here are some of the things happening on the Lower East Side today:
–At 6:30 p.m., State Sen. Daniel Squadron holds a town hall meeting on MTA bus service. It will take place at the Manny Cantor Center, 197 East Broadway.
–Also at 6:30 p.m., there will be a meeting coordinated by City Council member Rosie Mendez to solicit public feedback for the renovation of a playground at Tompkins Square Park. Mendez allocated $900,000 for the project. St. Brigid’s Church, 119 Avenue B.
–At 10 p.m., Autre Ne Veut plays Pianos in support of his new album, which showcases his R&B sensibilities. Advance tickets are sold out but a few tickets might be available at the door. 158 Ludlow St.
–Soulful singer Jaime Woods is at Rockwood Music Hall at 9 p.m.
–Nina Puro and Cassandra Neyenesch are back in the lounge at Dixon Place with their long-running literary series, Experiments & Disorders. Admission is free. 161a Chrystie St., 8 p.m.
