–Assemblyman Sheldon Silver’s federal corruption trial resumes this morning at the Thurgood Marshall Courthouse in Lower Manhattan.
–Community Board 3’s Parks Committee meets at 6:30 p.m. at the BRC Senior Center, 30 Delancey St. On the agenda: New public art for First Street Green and proposed improvements for the park at Montgomery Street and Samuel Dickstein Plaza.
–At 8:30 p.m., Vivid Low Sky (pictured), “the quasi-solo endeavor of guitarist David Koslowski,” is at Cake Shop. 152 Ludlow St. Click here for tickets.
–The Alt Country band. The Futurebirds, play Bowery Ballroom at 9 p.m., $15.
—Body Business, “an interactive performance exploring, expanding and re-envisioning the economic practices of the dance world,” is at the Performance Project, University Settlement. 184 Eldridge St., $15.
–From 7-9 p.m., the Ashok Jain Gallery will host an opening reception for, “Art for Harmony, Peace and Unity.” It’s a benefit for the children of Nepal.
