Starting tomorrow, the highly entertaining Irish dance-theater collective, ponydance, brings its own brand of madcap comedic dance to Abrons Arts Center this week with its acclaimed “Anybody Waitin’?”  The Irish company is currently “touring the world and drinking tea.” They are known for their sharp wit, brilliant comedic flair, and exuberant dances. The troupe combines hilarious, tongue-in-cheek popular culture parodies with serious doses of dance virtuosity. (Culturebot has a nice piece with Artistic Director Leonie McDonagh here.)

Ponydance is co-presented by the Irish Arts Center and is part of Abrons’ Travelogues dance series, curated by Laurie Uprichard.

Wednesday, October 7 – Friday, October 9, at 7:30pm // Saturday, October 10, at 6pm and 9pm // Abrons Arts Center // 466 Grand Street // Tickets $20
