If you’re in the mood for an off the wall culinary mash-up, there’s an event at Parkside Lounge worth checking out tonight. Parkside’s owner, Chris Lee, let us know about Kimchi Smoke’s latest pop-up (tonight is the second of a two-night run).

The New Jersey-based food company blends Korean BBQ with Southern BBQ and then adds in all sorts of unexpected twists. Chris mentioned he’d just sampled the “Chonut,” a cheese doughnut with brisket and pulled pork.

The pop-up happens from 6-11 p.m. at Parkside Lounge, located at 317 East Houston St.
