The Lower East Side is well-represented in New York Magazine’s new “cheap eats” guide. Local picks include: Spaghetti Incident, the new Eldridge Street spot; Taste of Northern China, a “dump with soul and some cheap and wonderful food;” Empanadas, Son!, at 174 Delancey St.; the much written about Kottu House, Goa Taco and Cabalito on Essex Street.

Forbes reviews Stanton Social, concluding that even after 10 years celebrity chef Chris Santos has “managed to keep his flagship a hot spot… a nice place to return for veteran scene seekers as well as the many who (likely) were in middle school when the doors first opened.”
