Over the weekend, the guys over at Eastwood, the bar on the corner of Clinton Street and East Broadway, noticed this interesting reveal. At 219 East Broadway, the old signage for Joon Cleaners was removed, giving onlookers a glimpse of a previous business, Nu-Brite Cleaners.
Joon closed down after the death of its owner in 2012. In the past two-and-a-half years, numerous “for rent” signs have been posted all over the exterior. A recent listing online advertised the 800 sq. ft. space (with an 800 Sq. ft. basement) for $8,500/month.
Now even that sign is gone.
