Your Tuesday afternoon food notes:
- Dimes, the popular little cafe at 143 Division St., is ready to make the move across the street to a bigger space. The original location is now closed, while the new spot at 49 Canal St. opens on Friday. As Eater notes, the menu will also be expanding and the new Dimes will have alcohol.
- Chefs at two Lower East Side restaurants are in the running for Food & Wine’s “People’s Best New Chef” award But you’ve only got one more day to vote for Jonathan Wu of Fung Tu and Fabian von Hauske & Jeremiah Stone of Contra. Click here to cast your ballot.
- Speaking of Contra, the chefs are debuting a pricier menu.
- Those Indian-inspired tacos will be around a bit longer. We’re told that Goa Taco is sticking around at least through the end of April at 79 Delancey St.
