  1. The Ratners I remember was a kosher dairy restaurant and bakery. If you have ever dined on their baked white fish or fried herring with caramelized onions and mashed potatoes you know sublime experience I am talking about. There is no other bakery in the world that comes close to their danish and onion rolls. I am homesick for my childhood as I write this. I need to stop.
