Continuing their impressive anniversary year lineup, Abrons Arts Center is presenting the world premier of I’m Looking for Helen Twelvetrees, the latest play by five-time Obie Award recipient David Greenspan. It’s the story of a young man’s pursuit of Helen Twelvetrees, a real-life star of the early talkies, during her run as Blanche DuBois at a summer stock theater in 1951. The production features Greenspan, Brooke Bloom in the title role and Keith Nobbs as Clark Twelvetrees. It is directed by Mr. Greenspan’s longtime collaborator, Leigh Silverman.
Through April 4, 466 Grand St. (at Pitt), 8 p.m., $35.
