Sheldon Silver was re-elected yesterday as Speaker of the New York Assembly. “I enjoy and am very heartened by the support that I get from members of the conference. And I’m honored that they chose me to support them,” he said (WSJ)

Silver said he has not personally heard from federal prosecutors looking into his relationship with a Manhattan law firm (Daily News).

The Speaker said a top priority for him in 2015 will be enacting a strong rent regulation law (Daily News).
