Police arrested a woman who passed a counterfeit bill to a shop owner at 55 Chrystie St. on Sunday; “After the owner gave (the woman, identified as Tanyatta) Demby her change, the businesswoman quickly realized the $100 bill was fake and chased the thief a block to Bowery and Hester Street yelling, “Help me!” witnesses said… Two good Samaritans blocked Demby’s path, and cops arrived to arrest her.”  (Post)
