Photos: National Night Out Celebrations Around the LES

Must Read

National Night Out 2014

Last night, we visited a few locations across the neighborhood, where local precincts were taking part in National Night Out Against Crime.

On 5th St. and Ave. C., the celebration was sponsored by the 9th Precinct and featured information booths, plus lots of fun and games, including face painting, a bouncy house and “the world’s tallest (dancing) cop! The 5th precinct celebration took place in Columbus Park and the 7th Precinct set up its street fest on East Broadway..  The entire street, east of Rutgers., was shut off to traffic in order make way for the celebration, which included carnival rides and even more free food.  Many kids joined their parents on East Broadway, playing games of basketball, cooling off with the help of a sprinkler and even getting to know some fellow officers and their furry friends.

Check out some photos from all three events below!
