Two German artists say they are responsible for the Brooklyn Bridge flag stunt (NYT).

The governor and his delegation, including Assembly Speaker Sheldon Silver, arrive in Israel. Silver says: “The Israeli government protects its people with its missiles. The Palestinians, from what we know in Gaza, protect its missiles with its people. That’s the fundamental difference.” (Daily News)

The NYPD is going to be handing out a lot of tickets to bicyclists in the next couple of days (Gothamist).

Amale Andraos, a Lower East Side based architect, is the new dean of Columbia University’s architecture school (NYT).
