Tomorrow afternoon, the state’s Citizen Preparedness Training Program is offering a course on the Lower East Side. The idea behind the program is to provide residents with the “tools and resources to prepare for any type of disaster.” Participants will receive a free emergency response starter kit. Tomorrow’s session will last about two hours and begins at 2 p.m. It takes place in the Two Bridges Community Room, 82 Rutgers Slip. If you’re interested in attending, you need to pre-register by clicking on this link. The event is being sponsored by Governor Cuomo along with local elected officials and Community Board 3.
These kinds of workshops are very necessary.
