We’ll see a mixture of sun and clouds today and a high of 38. Showers anticipated tomorrow and a balmy 41. Sunday – if you’re planning on going to the Chinese Lunar New Year Parade – expect cloudy skies and a high of 46. Not bad.
The big event on the Lower East Side today: MTA rage. Almost every local elected official will be in front of the East Broadway station at 10 a.m. to ask- why can’t the transit agency figure out how to finish the long-delayed escalator project? They’d love to see you out there.
At 11 a.m., it’s the annual firecracker ceremony in Sara D. Roosevelt Park in celebration of Chinese New Year.
