This weekend the Two Bridges Neighborhood Council is celebrating the 5th Annual Marco Polo Festival.
The event pays tribute to the Chinatown and Little Italy Historic District and acknowledges the ties between the Chinese and Italian cultures on the Lower East Side. A festival pageant procession will begin at 11 a.m.at 62 Mott St. (Canal). You can view the procession on Mulberry Street (from Bayard Street to Grand Street), Grand Street (from Mulberry Street to Mott Street), and Mott Street (from Grand Street to Hester Street).
Performances will take place on the Hester Street stage, located between Mott and Mulberry. There will be traditional Italian and Chinese opera, dancing and other musical performances. Click here for more info.
