It looks like this three story building at 88 Clinton Street is primed for redevelopment.

In April, we reported that side-by-side buildings, 86 and 88 Clinton Street were sold for nearly $8 million. The properties, just above Delancey Street, were formerly owned by the estate of William Gottlieb. Now the new owner has filed documents with the Department of Buildings to add four floors to the three story building. Air rights from the adjoining property would create a nearly 17,000 square foot residential and commercial building.
The project is now undergoing a zoning review. The revamped building is being designed by Dan Ionescu Architects. Meanwhile, work is progressing on a major renovation of 86 Clinton Street.
