This afternoon at Pier 42, at the temporary park near Montgomery Street, Good Old Lower East Side presents Summerfest 2013.
There will be live music and performances, food, games and other activities from 2-7 p.m. GOLES, the LES housing advocacy organization, is part of a coalition that re-activated Pier 42 earlier this year, while plans progress for a permanent park on the old banana pier.
