You may have tasted Mimi and Coco NY’s teriyaki balls at pop-up events like DayLife on Orchard Street or Smorgasburg; starting tonight, they are available at a new restaurant at 92 Rivington St.

Specializing in comfort food of the proprietors’ native Japan, Â Mimi and Coco’s will serve its signature fried concoctions with a selection of fillings such as sausage, shrimp, cheese and organic potato at the new space. Also on the expanded menu: takoyaki, or octopus balls, sides of corn and edamame in a cup with butter and sea salt or lemon and chili pepper, as well as rice bowls like Yuzu Pepper Chicken Donburi.
