Fall Fashion Week kicks off in New York September 9th. But the Lower East Side BID is getting a head start. On Wednesday, September 5, they’ll be presenting “Lower East Side Opening Night: Art & Fashion.” There will be opening receptions at a good number of the more than 80 galleries that are now in the neighborhood. The same evening there will also be special events at several LES fashion boutiques.
Among the galleries taking part are: Feature, Inc., Lesley HellerWorkspace, and Marc Straus. Stores such as Feltraiger, the Hoodie Shop and Wendy Mink Jewelry will be offering live music and/or other events. All participating fashion boutiques and galleries will stay open until 9pm or later.
