For the past several months, we’ve been helping to promote the ZipCard, a local program that offers great deals at participating businesses throughout the neighborhood. It’s a good way to support LES businesses and to save (there are 2 for 1 tickets at the Sunshine Cinema, for example). The ZipCard is now expanding to offer a loyalty program, rewarding members for repeat visits to Lower East Side restaurants, stores, cultural destinations and entertainment venues. The upgraded deals come with a $35 annual membership fee. If you are a current ZipCard member, however, and you sign up by tomorrow, the fee is reduced to $25. Click here for more info.
