This morning’s Lower East Side restaurant news:
- Rustic LES, the brick-and mortar project from the Bistro Truck team, has been a work in progress for a few months. But following a successful crowdfunding campaign, the restaurant at 124 Ridge appears almost ready to open. Owner Yassir Raouli tells NY1 his French-Moroccan spot will debut in a week or two. On the menu: a whole roasted lamb.
- Forgtmenot at 138 Division Street has been in soft-open-mode for several days. But by the middle of the week, the new neighborhood place from Abbie and Paul Sierros should be open for dinner, maybe even with their liquor license.
- New at Russ & Daughters: the New Catch Herring Sandwich.
- Lower East Side “oyster tavern” seeks security guard, preferably with some “military or MMA background.”
