On Friday the New York Times reported that Mission Chinese Food, “one of the year’s most anticipated openings,” is set to debut this coming Tuesday. The San Francisco-based restaurant is taking over a space at 154 Orchard Street. The new spot will also be taking part in DayLife, the Lower East Side BID’s street festival on June 3rd. It just so happens Mission Chinese creator Danny Bowien is the latest business owner to be featured in the BID’s video series leading up to next month’s event. have a look at what he has to say about settling on the Lower East Side.
