Keyboard Kid at the New Museum Friday

Must Read

Keyboard Kid.

“Get Weird,” the New Museum’s experimental music series returns Friday night.  This month’s installment features Keyboard Kid (Greg Phillips), the Seattle hip hop producer behind rapper Lil B.  On his own, Keyboard Kid is gaining a solid reputation for his melodic and inventive remixes.  The upbeat tracks are mostly  instrumental electonica “assembled with clockwork precision into hypnotic, visionary compositions.”

The event begins at 7 p.m. in the New Museum’s Theater. Cost $12/$10 (museum members). Later in the evening, Keyboard Kid will be at Santos Party House.

You can read an interview with Keyboard Kid on the New Museum’s blog.
