- Not long ago, JP Bowersock gave us The Lo-Down on getting your growler filled on the Lower East Side. Now there’s a new option in the growler game. Over the weekend, “Top Hops,” opened at 94 Orchard Street, just across from the Tenement Museum. There are 20 beers on tap, plus 700 varieties to chhose from in bottles.
- An Choi celebrates Vietnamese New Year with a $40 tasting menu.
- An update on the Elsinore, the exclusive night spot replacing the Stanton Social. According to Grub Street, it will feature a tented, heated outdoor garden. The place opens for private parties later this month. Owner Noel Ashman says it’ll be “one of the toughest doors in town.”
- Zoe, the newish restaurant at 245 Eldridge, adds weekday lunch. See the menu here.
