The New York City Health Department has closed Nagasaki Sushi at 109 Eldridge Street. In an inspection this past Wednesday, the popular spot for inexpensive rolls racked up 80 violation points.
Among the “critical violations” noted by the inspector: “hot food item not held at or above 140Âş F,” “cold food item held above 41Âş F,” “live roaches present in facility’s food and/or non-food areas.” Nagasaki Sushi has done relatively well in past Health Department inspections. In July of last year, the restaurant recorded 18 violations points.
