Occupy Wall Street came to the Lower East Side over the weekend. The “Farmers March” got underway yesterday afternoon in La Plaza Cultural Community Garden on East 9th Street. A group of farmers and activists gathered for a discussion about corporate control of this country’s agriculture business. They then proceeded to Zuccotti Park, calling for “food justice.”
Lower Manhattan photographer Tim Schreier has been documenting Occupy Wall Street since the beginning. Specifically, he has focused on showing the great diversity of the “99%.” Tim has been posting his photos on flickr for anyone to use. You can see some of them after the jump.
