Our friends at The Neighborhood School asked us to remind you that their Holiday Fair is coming up this Sunday, There will be carnival games, arts & crafts, face-painting, print-making, a huge kid-built maze (made of deconstructed cardboard boxes), a raffle and silent auction — plus great food from neighborhood vendors.
Auction items this year include an autographed, limited-edition Handsome Dick Manitoba bobblehead; classes in trapeze, parkour and trampolin; gift certificates to shops like The Bean, Exit 9, Alphabet City Acupuncture, Sugar Sweet Sunshine, East Yoga, Saxelby Cheesemongers, Grace Heaven Organic Salon, il laboratorio del gelato and more; Cupcake Camp at Butter Lane; fabulous Trina Turk jewelry; memberships at MOMA and the Lower East Side Tenement Museum and many more.
Bid online until Friday, December 9th at 5pm; the live auction is at the school on Sunday at 2:30 p.m.
Admission to the fair is free. Proceeds from the event go to support the Neighborhood School PTA, a non-profit charitable organization, which pays for the school’s music and art education, field trips, classroom supplies and teacher support. The Neighborhood School is at 121 East 3rd Street, between First Avenue and Avenue A. The fair takes place from 11 a.m.-5 p.m.
