Mostly sunny and 85 degrees in the city today. It was quite a weekend in New York. After Friday night’s historic gay marriage vote and Albany’s renewal and extension of the state’s rent laws — there’s lots to talk about this week. Tonight Community Board 3 will resume its discussion of the Seward park redevelopment plan and the future of the Essex Street Market. Today, we have a new twist in the Lower East SIde bar wars — Clinton Street nightlife and arts venue Culturefix tangles with the NYPD in open court. Also, we’re getting excited for tomorrow’s LES Trivia Night at Fontanas! We have some great prizes, including delectable morsels from Russ & Daughters and the Pickle Guys. If you haven’t already, head over to our Facebook event page to sign up.
