Along Clinton Street yesterday afternoon, Go Skateboard Day, a worldwide annual event, was celebrated in style.

This morning we’re continuing to follow developments on Pitt Street, where police are still investigating the fatal shooting of a 23-year old man Monday night. This evening, they may have something more to say about the crime at the 7th Precinct Community Council meeting. Also this evening, an opportunity to support youth programs for neighborhood kids; there will be lots of food, music and good times at the Campos Plaza Youth Council Fundraiser. And another fundraiser kicks off in Sara D. Roosevelt Park at 6 p.m. It’s the annual “Showdown in Chinatown” soccer tournament, benefiting the Steve Nash Foundation.
