Special Triangle Fire Doc Screening At Abrons Arts Center

Must Read

You may have heard about the HBO documentary, “Triangle: Remembering the Fire,” which debuted last week. This year marks the 100 year anniversary of the tragic event that killed 146 workers, many of them residents of the Lower East Side. Coming up tonight at 7pm, there will be a free screening of the film at the Abrons Arts Center.

More details from the flier making its way around the community:

HBO employee, Seward Park Co-op resident and film & NYC history enthusiast Brett Leitner will introduce the film and moderate a Q&A session with the film’s director, Daphne Pinkerson, and co-producer/Triangle fire expert, Michael Hirsch, immediately following the screening. Bring your neighbors and join us to honor this seminal event rooted in the history of the Lower East Side and the Grand Street Co-ops.
