“Loisaida Avenue,” between 13th Street and 6th Street, (also known as Avenue C) will be closed off on Sunday from noon – 5pm for the return of the annual Loisaida Festival and Carnival Celebration. The popular street fair is a celebration of Latino heritage and culture, incorporating live music, dance, food and outreach programs from neighborhood organizations. Put on by the local non-profit Loisaida, Inc., this will mark the festival’s 24th year on the Lower East Side.
