It’s going to be another rainy day in the city. Sorry to say, there won’t be much sunshine to speak of through the rest of the week. Look for a high of 64 today, with periods of heavy rain and wind gusts up to 20 m.p.h. Tonight, Community Board 3 holds a public forum on arts education — what resources are available, how to make programs more accessible to all. Also this evening, the 9th Precinct Community Council holds its monthly meeting. Today, we’ll have a wrap-up of CB3’s SLA Committee meeting; nightlife operator Matt Levine got the tentative okay to take over the troubled Mason Dixon Bar on Essex Street. Also, our monthly art gallery profile in support of “Third Thursdays.” We’ll be featuring Sloan Fine Art. Remember to check out our Calendar – and to self-submit your own Lower East Side events. And please consider “liking” The Lo-Down on Facebook. It’s a good way to stay-up-to-date throughout the day.
