Mostly cloudy skies today and a chance of showers this afternoon, with a high of 60. We’re looking at an eventful week on the Lower East Side. Tonight, Community Board 3’s land use committee continues to talk about urban design aspects of the Seward Park redevelopment plan. Tomorrow, the Rent Guidelines Board holds a preliminary vote. Wednesday, community activists meet one more time before Parks Dept. officials get to work designing a new and improved Luther Gulick Park. And the Festival of Ideas kicks off this weekend.
