Looks like we got 8 or 9 inches of snow overnight but this time city crews were ready: the plows are out in force and most major streets are in fairly good shape. Sorry kids: New York City schools are open today. But the tender souls at the Doughnut Plant are closed! The snow will taper off quickly this morning. We’ll see a high of 32. On the agenda tonight, the 7th Precinct’s Community Council meeting. District 1’s Community Education Council gathers to discuss several issues, including the long-term space needs of the Girls Prep Middle School. And FAB Cafe, Fourth Arts Block’s new community gathering place, holds a grand opening. Check out our Calendar for more details.
