A variety of top notch performers were featured in the Lower East Side Talent Showcase last Sunday, reminding us that the neighborhood is bursting with talent. Director/Producer Neal Young put together a stunning lineup of acts at the Abrons Arts Center, in celebration of Seward Park Cooperative’s 50th Anniversary.
Performances included some great stand-up comedy (from the always-hilarious host, Carla Johnston), all kinds of music, dance and even a pantomime. We put together some clips from an impromptu video of the show. The artists featured (in order) are: Ari Gold, Nayala Smith, Paul Shapiro with Kevin Zubek, Alfredo Molina Jr. (Big Bro) with Adam LeBron, Kivi (Cynthia Lamb with J.P. Bowersock and sons) Julie Atlas Muz and Mat Fraser, Suzanne Fiore with Kate Petterie and Matt Scharfglass.
