Tonight, backers of a Chinatown BID make their case before CB3’s economic development committee. It’s shaping up to be a tense evening, as opponents of the BID step up their attack o the proposal. Also tonight, the neighborhood preservation organization GOLES is holding a community forum on public housing and the Section 8 voucher program. And the Lower East Side Film Series at the Seward Park Library screens “From Spikes to Spindles,” a 1976 portrait of Manhattan’s Chinatown.
