Several firefighters were sent to the hospital last night, in the aftermath of a fire on Oliver Street in Chinatown. NY1 and Channel 7 filed brief reports on the blaze, saying the firefighters’ injuries were all relatively minor. The fire apparently was contained to the 4th and 5th floors of a tenement building near Chatham Square. No residents were hurt, but the Red Cross is helping several families with temporary housing. The cause of the fire is under investigation.
