Lucid NYC Party Tomorrow Night

Must Read

This month’s Lucid NYC party/presentations looks to be fascinating, as always. The oh-so-creative presenters have a great lineup for their “Save the Planet and Cure World Cup Withdrawal” Night: Design and typography superstar Stefan Sagmeister (insofar as there are typographical superstars). Check out his TED talk(s) to see what you’re in for. Programmer, musician, artist Amit Pitaru, creator of Sonic Wire and Planty, an application that simplifies your personal investment portfolio (if and when you get your act together). Designer Chuck Hoberman, who, among many other things, designed U2’s expanding video screen, and whose work is in MoMA’s permanent collection. Banker, jazz bassist, entrepreneur, political aide and author Kabir Sehgal, who co-founded the organization Music for Tomorrow, which helps jazz artists find gigs while rebuilding New Orleans (yes, it still needs help!). Live jazz from Adam O’Farrill (one of Music for Tomorrow’s artists).

Tickets $15 // Drom – 85 Ave.  A – between 5th and 6th St. // Doors open at 7p, Presentations begin at 8p.
