Young musicians take advantage of "Play Me, I'm Yours" in Seward Park

A piano showed up in Seward Park yesterday for the first day of Play Me, I’m Yours, a public art project bringing 60 pianos to the parks and public spaces of New York City. Pianos are being placed throughout the city’s five boroughs to be played by all who pass by. The project is an artwork by British artist Luke Jerram, who has been touring the project globally since 2008. It is being produced by Sing for Hope, a non-profit founded by opera singers that mobilizes professional artists through volunteer service programs. 9am – 10pm // June 21 –  July 5th, 2010.
