Nikole’s Tick Parade – Benefit For Actress at Dixon Place Tonight

Friends of Nikole Beckwith, a talented actress and emerging plawright (she’s a member of EST’s Youngblood, the Public Theater’s Emerging Writers Group, and the Story Pirates), are gathering together for a benefit variety show, Nikole’s Tick Parade, tonight at Dixon Place. Beckwith, who was diagnosed with Lyme disease last July, has yet to undergo treatment due to problems with her health insurance.  Some big names will be stepping out to perform for her; including Eric Bogosian, America’s Got Talent‘s Sizzle Twins, two performers from Fela! and Mamma Mia!, and a clown shaping balloons into Borrelia burgdorferi, the bacteria that causes Lyme Disease. Tick-tinis and Lyme Rickeys will be available at the bar.  $35  (tickets exclusively on eventbrite here) // 7:00pm (bar opens at 6:00pm // 161 Chrystie Street.
