Lush Life – An Exhibition in Nine Chapters Begins Tonight

Must Read

A large scale exhibit, featuring nine L.E.S. galleries and 60 artists, centered around themes from writer Richard Price’s gripping novel, Lush Life, begins today at the Sue Scott Gallery. Each gallery will take the title of one of the nine chapters from the book and present work, by various artists, reflecting that chapter’s theme. The summer-long show is curated by Franklin Evans and Omar Lopez-Chahoud.

Art lover and social media visionary Kianga Ellis is tracking all the action (and interaction) via the project’s blog, lushlifeles.com. Participating galleries include Collette Blanchard Gallery, Eleven Rivington, Invisible-Exports, Lehmann Maupin, On Stellar Rays, Salon 94, Scaramouche and Y Gallery. There will be a collective opening of all participating galleries on Thursday, July 8th from 6 – 9 pm. We will be speaking with Kianga and the curators later this week!
