Actress Rosario Dawson will direct a special benefit reading of selections of Eve Ensler‘s new book, “I Am an Emotional Creature: The Secret Life of Girls Around the World,” on Monday evening at P.S. 122 at 6:30pm. The performance will feature 20 girls who are members of the LES Girls Club and will be introduced by Councilwoman Rosie Mendez. A third “Rosie”, and one who is said to be a fan of the show and friend of the Girls Club, Rosie O’Donnell, will be among the attendees. Dawson will hold a Q&A session after the reading. “I Am an Emotional Creature” is being put on as part of VDAY 2010, a global movement to end violence against women and girls.
